Updates on Life

Well, nothing too outrageous to report about this past weekend's adventures. Ian and I enjoyed Saturday exploring our home town of Aberdeen. We visited the beach and found a Mexican restaurant. As expected, it was Scottish Mexican food and nothing like what we can get back in the States! I am truly missing my Mazatlan nights!!!! We also walked along the coastline in an area of town called Cove Bay. The cliffs on the coast are truly an amazing sight. This was a great hike/walk and we plan to do the entire 7 mile trail one day soon.

Sunday we visited the northern coast of Aberdeenshire and went to a tiny, but very cool Aquarium. The exhibits were based on local marine and bird life, which was really interesting.

I have booked a Steam Train tour for the end of August that I am super pumped about! More details about that later in the month!

So I am currently looking for something to occupy my days while Ian is at work. Don't worry everyone, I am not committing to a job just yet!!!! I am researching volunteer opportunities and adult learning classes like learning to play the guitar. We will see what happens, but for now, still researching . . .

  1. What about a photography class? You have your new camara and are in such a beautiful place - its perfect!

Do you have to pay US taxes since your new home town is Aberdeen? If not, lucky you!!

    Miss you - Brenda

  2. Ian will be the one to take the photography class, as he is the one who really enjoys it. I don't think I have the patience for it.

Yes, we actually have to pay tax in both US and UK. Ian's company does the UK tax and then we are partially taxed in the US. It is all very confusing.

    Miss you too!
