Today I met Ian for lunch at his office. His office building is in an industrial type area with several other office buildings and car dealerships around. There is not a great variety of lunch places to choose from in the area, but enough to grab a quick bite to eat. Ian recommended either the cafe in the garage or the sandwhich shop. I was so intrigued by the idea of a cafe in a "garage". Well, the "garage" is really a car dealership, but yes they had a full blown cafe in it! We ordered at the counter and then ate our soup at one of the many cafe tables inside the car dealership. How odd is that???? And it was a really popular lunch spot. Most of the tables were full and several people were getting food for take away. So as we sat, ate, and talked, we looked at the cars that were on display in the garage.
Anyhow, I just thought that was an interesting and odd place for a cafe, and nothing you would find in Tennessee!

I have never eaten in a garage cafe.....How was the food? Is this a common eatery in Scotland?
